ENHANCING THE BENEFITS OF MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS
IN FLOOD HYDROLOGY AND INDUSTRY MODELLING

A workshop between mathematical and flood risk communities

We look forwards to welcoming you at this workshop in Bath on 3-4 December. The workshop will provide a forum for mathematicians and hydrological modellers to explore in depth how theoretical analysis can provide insights about the behaviour, calibration and robustness of rainfall-runoff models. The motivation for the workshop includes recognition that there is a vast array of hydrological models in the literature, many of which are related variants of common physical and conceptual structures.

This workshop will form a unique gathering of not just theoretical modellers and applied mathematicians, but will also bring significant engagement with hydrological modellers, who are interested in examining the potential for mathematical analysis to help with issues.
