====== Trinh research group at Bath ====== Our research group focuses on the development of mathematical methodologies --- primarily asymptotic analysis and perturbation theory --- for applications in applied mathematics and real-world phenomena. Most of us work on problems motivated by continuum mechanics and fluid dynamics, but there is a unified interest in developing sophisticated methods in perturbation theory. ===== Current Postdocs ===== * Josh Shelton ===== Current PhD students ===== * Henry Writer (Exponential asymptotics, wave-structure interactions) * Edwin Watson-Miller (Exponential asymptotics, pattern formation, PDEs) * Timothy Peters (Mathematical models of ice crystal icing in aeroengines) * Cecilie Andersen (Exponential asymptotics, bubbles, and jets) * Helen Fletcher (Numerical boundary conditions for water waves and wave-flume experiments) ===== Current MMath/BSc students ===== * Sam Mackenzie (2023-24) ===== Former Postdocs ===== * Samuel Crew -- now postdoc at Max Planck Institute - Security and Privacy (Ruhr, Germany) ===== Former PhD students ===== * Dr. Piotr Morawiecki (finished 2023).
